Frequently asked questions

Sizing details

Each listing will specify whether a ring is adjustable or is sized so please read each listing carefully before purchasing. All gold and silver adjustable rings have the adjustment hidden up under the setting. This makes for a very comfortable ring that will adjust as needed but remains very sturdy.

All necklaces are available in 16”, 18”, 20”, 24” and 30” lengths. Please message me if you need a different chain length than what a listing states. A additional fee may apply for any added length.

Custom and personalized orders

Almost any listing you see in my shop can be customized! This includes but is not limited to:

-earrings (post or drops)
-necklaces
-bracelets
-rings
-lapel pins
-cuff links

From finish (good, silver, bronze, copper) to color/size, just ask! I’m happy to accommodate! Please allow extra time if you’re requesting something that I don’t have supplies in stock for.

All my supplies are lead & nickel free and most earrings are made using titanium posts which are ideal for sensitive ears. I even have plastic earring posts available for special order.

All the colors you see are custom mixed so the possibilities are endless! That being said, a certain color name (ie: “aqua”) may vary slightly from batch to batch due to the handmade process.

I just placed an order, when will it ship?

All ready-to-ship listings will ship 1-3 business days from the date of order (often sooner).

Be sure to check the shop announcement on the home page of my shop for any info that may lead to shipping delays (ie: if I’m on vacation but my shop has remained open, USPS shipping holidays, etc).

Custom order listings will specify how long it will take me to create your item before it ships. Please read each listing carefully and please message me PRIOR to ordering if you require an item by a specific date.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I’m always happy to add a note, message or special packaging to your order! Please check the gift option at checkout of send me an Etsy message with any requests (i.e. birthday themed washi tape, etc).

If you have ordered several items, they will be consolidated into as few boxes as possible. If you need a box for each item, please send me an Etsy message. I’m happy to accommodate. Please be aware that when ordering large quantities, requesting multiple gift boxes may affect your shipping costs. There is a listing in my shop for additional gift boxes.

Are those real flowers in the jewelry?

Yes! Anytime you see flowers in the jewelry, it is a real, dried/pressed flower- often from my garden here in Oregon. I most commonly use forget-me-nots and Queen Anne’s Lace, but a lot of other seasonal favorites work their way into my pieces! I also use pressed leaves from my home, which I love to work with! Those are a Fall favorite!

What types of items can be sent and preserved in jewelry for custom orders? How much do I send?

The following are items that I have used to make custom jewelry. If you don’t see your item here, please feel free to send me an Etsy message.

-dried flowers (pressed or un-pressed is ok)
(a small amount is all that is needed-please see FAQ regarding dried flowers for more info)

-leaves (fully in tact or leaf skeleton is ok)
(Just one is enough for 1-2 pieces)

-ashes (human or pet)
(1/8 teaspoon is plenty for 1-3 pieces. Any remaining will be sent back. Please send in a resealable bag, not in an envelope)

-confetti
(Just a small handful is plenty)

-tiny seashells
(A small handful is enough for 1-5 pieces)

*I do not CURRENTLY offer custom breast milk jewelry due to the time/extensive process it takes to preserve it.

How do I go about sending flowers for a custom order? How many do you need?

If you have PRESSED flowers, the best way to send them safely is in a sturdy envelope/mailer in between heavy duty paper or even flaps from a cardboard box.

If you have UNPRESSED flowers, the best way to safely send them is in a small box tucked inside tissue paper and/or bubble wrap.

If you’re sending multiple flowers so that your piece has a variety of colors, I only need one of each flower type. Even just one petal from each flower is enough for one or more pieces.

If you’re having trouble thinking of how to describe what you want, a great way to communicate your ideas is to send screenshot of a piece of mine that you’ve seen that you like the look of. This is a great jumping off point to discuss the style you’d like me to achieve.

If I am sending flowers, do they need to be completely dry? Or is almost dry ok? Will you send progress photos?

It is VERY important that you send flowers that are 100% dry. For several reasons.. flowers that aren’t dry can turn brown in transit when they’re packed/sealed. This will effect the final outcome of your piece. Flowers that are not pressed may still have moisture in the center. If you’re sending a rose for example, you’ll be able to tell if it still has moisture by gently squeezing it at the fattest part of the flower. It’s worth it for your keepsake to take the time to dry your flowers completely before sending them. They will not dry out more in transit.

I don’t send progress photos. For a couple reasons: they almost never do the actual piece justice and any in-progress piece is vulnerable until it is 100% cured.

What is the process to place a custom order? How much will it cost? When do I pay for it? How long will it take?

Often times, there will be listings up in my Etsy for purchasing a custom order. If you don’t see what you want, please send me an Etsy message and I’ll create a custom listing for you to purchase. For 2019, I’ll be listing any available spots at the first of each month to be completed & shipped by the last business day of that month. If you have a specific timeline you need, please discuss that with me BEFORE ordering.

Custom order prices vary based on the item, size, style & quantity. Currently my prices are anywhere from $10-$40 depending on the item(s) requested. I’m not able to offer discounts for multiples due to the time it takes to complete each piece.

Custom orders must be paid in full before I begin working on them.

Will you send back any leftover flowers? How will you ship my completed items? Will my custom ship the day after it’s completed?

If you’d like any flowers sent back, please let me know at the time of arranging your custom order. I may need to factor that into your return shipping cost depending on how many flowers you’ve sent. You will be responsible for shipping costs to return flowers that exceed my standard shipping fees.

Your order will be consolidated into as few gift boxes as possible. If you need multiple boxes, please arrange this with me at the time the order arrangements are made. Your order will ship USPS First Class unless you choose Priority Mail at checkout.

Your order will ship 2-3 days after I have completed it so that it has time to completely cure. Extreme hot/cold temps can effect the piece(s) if they haven’t been allowed to cure 100%.
